Music & Ice Cream

Rudy Rudesill was here for us to enjoy his music.  There was a lot of singing, dancing, and toe-tapping going on.

Barb Cepek was here to lead Bible class and also to help out with Catholic Mass.  The blessing letter for the week was the letter, T.

Father Amir was here for Catholic Mass on Friday.

We made cherry chocolate ice cream which they enjoyed on Wednesday.  It’s always fun to try different flavors.  They were busy visiting while they were enjoying the ice cream.

A game of Flippo was played.  Everyone was a winner at least once or twice.  They enjoyed getting mini candy bars for winning.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of blackout played on Saturday.  Everyone’s a winner!

Fun and fit was played throughout the week.  They were busy bouncing the ball back and forth, throwing the ball on the bull’s eye, and doing their morning stretches.

Jammed Packed Week of Games

Barb Cepek was here to lead us in Bible class.  The blessing letter for the week was the letter C.  We would like to thank Barb for volunteering her time to lead Bible Class and also for helping out with Catholic Mass.  We would also like to thank Gerri Brenner for saying the Rosary during Friday Mass.

We played a game of shaker dice. The top winner was Glenn Hammond with Richard Schaffner coming in second.

We enjoyed our ice cream get together.  We enjoyed chocolate chip mint ice cream.

We took a scenic bus ride out in the country. It was a very beautiful day for a ride.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of black out played on Saturday.  Everyone’s a winner at bingo.  We would like to thank the altar and Rosary ladies for helping out with bingo and furnishing the treats.

We had fun and fit, Monday through Friday.  They were busy bouncing the balls back and forth, kicking the ball back and forth, playing target ball, and doing our morning stretches. It was a busy week.

Cool For The Summer

This week we enjoyed music with Jim Sexton and Two Frets Up.  There was a lot of singing, dancing and toe tapping going on.

We had an ice cream get together this week.  They enjoyed banana splits and were busy visiting while they were enjoying their ice cream.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Sunday with a game of blackout played on Sunday.  Everyone’s a winner at this game.

A game of shuffleboard was played on Friday.

Fun and fit was played Monday through Friday.

We hope everyone is keeping cool in this hot weather.

August Birthday Celebrations

We enjoyed entertainment for our monthly birthday party with Rich Schroeder.

Our monthly birthdays were, Carol Amdahl, Diane Gibson, Richard Schaffner and Mary Jo Rathke.

Barb Cepek was here for Bible class.  We would like to thank her for volunteering her time to lead the group and also for helping out with Catholic Mass.  We would also like to thank Gerri Brunner for saying the Rosary for us.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of blackout following on Saturday.

Pastor Weaver was here for Methodist Church Services.  Father Amir was here for Catholic Mass on Friday.

Exercise Group was held Monday through Friday.

Celebrating 40th Anniversary of UFO Days!

It was UFO Days in Elmwood.  They celebrated their 40th Anniversary.  The residents enjoyed the tractor parade on Saturday, and on Sunday we took the bus with some residents through the parade.

We enjoyed entertainment with Rudy Rudesill while we were busy making mushrooms out of clay pots.

Pastor Bergenthal was here for the Lutheran Church Service.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday, with a game of blackout on Saturday. We were busy with Exercise Group Monday through Friday. We also played some Flippo.
