Pampered Week

Barb Cepek was here for Bible class.  The Blessing letter for the week was the letter R.  We would like to thank Barb for volunteering her time.  Barb also volunteers her time to help out with Catholic Mass on Friday.

We enjoyed music with Country Memories and our new entertainment, John Lynch.  Lots of good music and singing.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday where everyone was a winner.  A game of blackout was played on Saturday along with regular bingo.

The ladies received manicures and hair appointments in the beauty shop.

We took a scenic bus ride up around Knapp.  What a beautiful day for a ride.  Some of the leaves are already starting to change.

Father Admir was here for Catholic Mass.  We would like to thank Gerri Brenner for leading us in the Rosary.

Kids & Crafts

The residents enjoyed doing crafts this week.  They made scarecrows out of mason jars.  They turned out so cute.

They played bingo on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of blackout on Saturday.  Everyone’s a winner.  We would like to thank the Altar & Rosary for helping out with bingo and furnishing the bingo prizes.

We enjoyed music with Two Frets Up this week. There was a lot of toe-tapping and singing going on.

Barb Cepek was here to lead us in Bible class.

A movie was put on in the chapel along with some fresh popcorn to enjoy while watching the movie.

It’s that time of year again! The kids are back to school, and  Elmwood 2nd Graders came and read to our residents.  It’s good to have them back.

Birthday Celebrations & Chocolate Chip Cookies

We enjoyed entertainment with Jim Sexton and Rich Schroeder this week.

There was a lot of singing and toe-tapping this week! Rich was here to play for our monthly birthday party.  We only had one birthday this month and that was Glenn Hammond.  Happy Birthday, Glenn!

Barb Cepek volunteered her time to come lead us in Bible class.  Barb also helped out with Catholic Mass on Friday.  The blessing letter for the week was the letter “N”.  Thank you, Barb.  Also, a thank you to Gerri Brenner for leading us in Rosary.

Pastor Weaver was here for the Methodist Church Service.  Father Admir was here for Catholic Mass on Friday.

Resident Council was held, and they all got an update on how the remodeling is coming along.

In baking group, they were busy making chocolate chip cookies.  Yum, Yum.

Holiday Weekend

Grandparent’s day was on Sunday.  They enjoyed cupcakes for lunch to celebrate.

Pastor Bergethal was here for the Lutheran church Service.

A game of shaker dice was played with our top winner being Marcella Bechel and Diane Gibson coming in close behind.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of blackout following regular bingo on Saturday.  Everyone’s a winner!  Thanks to Jen Miller and her daughter Bella for helping out with bingo.

In the baking group, they were busy making banana bread.  Yum, Yum!

Father Amir was here for Catholic Mass.  We would like to thank Barb Cepek for helping out with the service.

Fun and Fit was done Monday through Friday.  We bounced the ball back and forth along with morning stretches to get the day going.

We hope everyone had a fun and great Labor Day weekend.
