Elementary Visits

Two Frets up was here for entertainment this week. We had a lot of dancing and singing going on.  The residents even got their maracas out to play along!

In the baking group, they made buckeye brownie cookies, chocolate mint cream cheese buttons, and peanut butter cup cookies.  Yummy!

Some of the ladies received manicures and had their hair all fixed up.

A game of shaker dice was played with our top winner being Richard Schaffner.  During the week we also played flippo and bingo on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of blackout played on Saturday after regular bingo.

The Elmwood 2nd graders came and read to the residents. We always enjoy their visit.

Thank you to Becky Smith for making homemade cards with the residents.  They love doing this.

We want to let everyone know we are holding a Holiday Cookie Walk on December 7th from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.  It also will give you a chance to see our newly remodeled wing!  Refreshments will be provided.  Hope to see you!

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of blackout played on Saturday.  Everyone’s a winner!

We enjoyed our monthly Birthday Day party with Rich Schroeder entertaining.  Our birthdays this month are Barb Schneider and Frances Fedie.

In the baking group, they made fudge in-between bars and pumpkin pies.  On Friday we did some holiday baking.  They made chocolate mint cream cheese buttons. YUM!

A game of Flippo was played on Wednesday afternoon with everyone winning a prize.

Some of the residents had visits from family and friends throughout the week as well!

Halloween Fun

We all had a great Halloween. Our residents enjoyed their Halloween lunch and, then they enjoyed the Elmwood School parade in the afternoon.

Barb Cepek was here for Bible class.  The blessing letter for the week was the letter M.  We would like to thank Barb for volunteering her time.

Bingo was played with the activity department on Tuesday and Saturday.  A game of blackout was played on Saturday after regular bingo.

A game of shuffleboard was played with Marcella Bechel being our top winner.

We played one of their favorite games (Flippo) with everyone being a winner.

Pastor Bergenthal was here for the Lutheran Church service.

We started our holiday baking. The baking made the building smell like you were walking into a bakery.  Yum, Yum.
