Reading Books and Making Cards

We enjoyed entertainment with Jim Sexton and Two Frets Up this week. Always a good time when they are here. Good music to sing and toe tap along to.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of blackout on Saturday. Shuffleboard and Flippo were a couple of other games played throughout the week.

The Elmwood second graders game to read to the residents. We love having them come! They sure are talented readers.

Becky Smith was here to make cards with the Residents. Thank You Becky,
they really enjoy making cards.

In Baking Group, they made homemade pumpkin pies to eat along with our supper.

In December, we will be holding our bake sale. Stay tuned for details!

Fall-tastic Fun!

In baking group, we made homemade pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and were they very tasty!

We painted pumpkins with glow in the dark paint during our craft time.

We took a scenic bus ride to see the changing colors of the leaves. We all enjoyed getting out for a ride.

We enjoyed entertainment with Rich Schroeder for our monthly birthday party. We had two birthdays this month for Kenneth Claflin and Dona Eager.

We played different many kinds of games this week. We played Shaker Dice, Flippo and Bingo. Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with Blackout on Saturday.

Pastor Weaver was here for Methodist Church Service and Father Admir was here for Catholic Mass. We would like to thank Barb Cepek for helping out with the Mass.

A Visit from Kindergarteners

With school starting back up, we enjoyed a visit from the Elmwood Kindergarten class.

We taste tested different kinds of jam. We tried Gooseberry, Apple, Pear, Elderberry and Plum. Elderberry won best jam from the residents!

Some games played throughout the week were Shuffleboard, Flippo, Dominos, and as always, Bingo. Bingo is played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of blackout. We would like to thank St. Peter’s Lutheran Ladies for helping out with Bingo and furnishing the Bingo prizes.

Pastor Bergenthal was here for Lutheran church service.

Some of ladies got pampered with Manicures.

Exercise Group was held in the mornings to get our day going.

Getting Loose with Exercise

Our Red Hat Ladies got together and visited while enjoying coffee, juice and a cupcake.

Bingo was played on Tuesday with the Rock Elm Ladies. We would like to thank them for helping out with Bingo and furnishing the prizes. Bingo was also played on Saturday with a game of blackout following. Everyone was a winner! Shaker dice and Flippo were played throughout the week as well.

We enjoyed card making with Becky Smith. Thank you, Becky we had a great time!

Father Admir was here for Catholic Mass. We would like to thank Barb Cepek for helping out with the mass.

Exercise group was offered Monday through Friday. It is a good way to get the day going.
