Getting our Bodies Moving!

In baking group, we were busy making Twix thumbprint cookies and chocolate caramel thumbprint cookies. The residents are donating some for the Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 7thfrom 10:00 to 12:00.

Bingo was played on Tuesday with the help from the Alter and Rosary Ladies. Thank you for helping out and furnishing the Bingo Prizes. Bingo was also played on Saturday with a game of blackout. A game of Shuffleboard and Flippo were played throughout the week as well.

Fun and Fit is held every morning during the week. They toss the ball back and forth and do stretches from their head to their toes to get their bodies going.

Pastor Weaver was here for Methodist Church Service.

Barb Cepek was here to lead us in Bible Class. Thank you, Barb.

November Birthday Celebrations

Our residents have been very busy with their holiday baking.  This week we made peppermint patties and Reese’s peanut butter cookies.  Yum, they were so good!

Jim Sexton played music for us this week, and Rich Schroeder who played for our monthly birthday party. Happy birthday to all our residents that are celebrating their birthday this month.

We enjoyed card making with Becky Smith. Thank you, Becky!

Barb Cepek was here to lead us in Bible class. Thank you, Barb for volunteering your time.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of black out on Saturday following regular Bingo.

We enjoyed our visit from the Elmwood 2ndgraders.  They came and read to our residents.

Father Admir was here for catholic mass.  Thank you, Barb for helping out with the service.

The Start of Holiday Baking

We enjoyed music by Country Memories. Great music to sing along to!

We appreciated the visit from the Elmwood Kindergarten kids. They came and colored with the residents. No one could get over how well they could color.

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of Blackout played on Saturday following regular Bingo. Some other games that were played throughout the week were, Flippo, Shaker Dice and Shuffleboard.

We started our holiday baking this week. We made little chocolate fudge mints and they were delicious.

Some of the ladies received manicures.

Fun and Fit is held every morning with ball bouncing and morning stretches.

A date to keep in mind is Saturday December 7th for the Cookie Walk from 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM. If the date changes we will let you know.

Getting in the Halloween Spirit at Heritage!

On Halloween we had kids from the Heritage of Elmwood school come parade around in their costumes for the residents. At night the trick or treaters were out and about!

For Halloween, we did some pumpkin bowling. The residents did very well didn’t break one pumpkin.  For breakfast, lunch and supper they enjoyed Halloween-themed food.  What a fun day!

Bingo was played on Tuesday and Saturday with a game of Blackout on Saturday. Everyone’s a winner at Bingo.  Some other games played during the week were Shaker Dice, Flippo and Shuffleboard.

In baking group, they were busy making banana bread, which they enjoyed the next day for breakfast.

Some of the ladies got pampered with a haircut and manicures.
