Heritage of Elmwood’s Christmas Celebration

We celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve. Ellen Thompson started it off by reading The Night Before Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Claus visited our residents and after we opened gifts.

For lunch, they enjoyed roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, croissants, carrots, Christmas Jell-O and Christmas cookies that they have made.

For Christmas Day they enjoyed ham, hash brown casserole, green bean casserole, cranberries, and chocolate pie. For supper, they enjoyed chicken Kiev on a bed of rice, broccoli and mint ice cream with cookies.

They played a game of Shuffleboard with our top winner being Marcella Bechel.

We enjoyed some hot chocolate while we were reminiscing about Christmas.

Father Asmir was here for Catholic Mass. Thanks to Barb Cepek for helping out with the service.

We hope everyone had a great Christmas.
