It’s Rhubarb Season

We took a bus ride up around El Paso this week, and we were thankful to some of our residents for helping us find the most scenic route. It was a beautiful day to be out for a ride!

Our baking group made homemade brownies this week, and on May 25th they served soup, sandwiches and the brownies to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Our residents were busy cutting up rhubarb for rhubarb crisp this week as well. We would like to thank Jen Miller, Randy and Jolene Weber for their donation of the rhubarb. The building smelled so good!

Jim Sexton was here for entertainment and there was lots of toe-tapping and dancing going on!

We enjoyed playing shaker dice. Our top winner was Archie Delong, but Richard Schaffner wasn’t too far behind him.

To finish up the week, Father Prince was here for Catholic Mass. Thank you to Barb Cepek for helping out with the service, and thanks to Gerri Brunner for saying the rosary.

We would like to thank the Rock Elm Methodist for helping out with bingo and furnishing the bingo prizes.

We would like to wish Barb Johnson a very Happy Birthday.
