We hope all the mothers had a wonderful Mother’s Day! We celebrated it with Muffins for Mom. The ladies at Heritage of Elmwood also were pampered with manicures to get ready for Mother’s Day.
We were busy this week with crafts, playing shaker dice and baking. We filled the halls with the smell of delicious chocolate when we baked brownies with red, white and blue M&Ms on top.
Pastor Weaver was here for Methodist church service, and Father Prince came for Catholic Mass. We would like to thank Robertta Holcomb and Barb Cepek for helping out with the services. We would also like to thank Gerri Brunner for saying the Rosary for us.
Barb Cepek was here for Bible class. Our blessing letter for the week was the letter B. We would like to thank Barb for volunteering her time to come. The residents enjoy it!
Throughout the week we have “Fun and Fit” classes. Residents kick the ball, bounce it around and do some stretches to get going for the day. One the nice days this week, we went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.
We’re celebrating National Nursing Home Week May 14-20 with all sorts of additional fun coming up. We will post about events and activities on our Facebook page. Visitors are always welcome to join us!
