We’re excited to share about our busy week at Heritage of Elmwood. Every day we make fresh bread on Main Street. There is no better smell than that of baking bread! We welcome visitors for coffee and bakery at any time!
On Saturday afternoon we enjoyed playing bingo along with a game of black out. After supper, we relaxed with lounge and TV time. We were all rested up for Sunday morning, when we had Faith Services for our residents and family who wanted to join in. In the afternoon we enjoyed visiting with staff, fellow residents and visitors. We wrapped up the day with time to watch TV and unwind in the lounge.
Monday morning, Barb Cepek was here for Bible Class. We would like to thank Barb for volunteering her time! We were busy kicking the ball and playing catch at exercise group following Bible Class. In the afternoon, we played a game of Shaker Dice and Archie Delong was our top winner. Way to go Archie! In the evening, we played bingo.
Tuesday morning started out with sensory time before we had our morning exercise. In the afternoon residents played bingo with the activity department. In the evening they had chapel and watched some good TV shows.
Wednesday morning we started out with baking. We made the most delicious apple cake cupcakes. Exercise group followed our baking activity.
Friday morning we played some shuffleboard and then got together and did some stretches. We gathered together in the chapel for the Rosary and Father Prince was here for Catholic Mass. We would like to thank Barb Cepek for helping out with the service.
We wrapped up our busy week with some lounge and TV time. And the residents enjoyed getting visits from family and friends throughout the weekend.
