Carnival Festivities

This week was full of fun as we celebrated Carnival Week at the Heritage of Elmwood!  We began the festivities on Monday with a popcorn and pop party.  On Tuesday, the residents enjoyed photo booth day.  We munched on home-made ice cream, snow cones, and cotton candy on Wednesday and Thursday. The Carnival festivities concluded with drop buttons in the fish tank on Friday.

Residents were treated to take-out from Kerns Bar and Grill on Tuesday to accompany their afternoon bingo game.  Pastor Weaver presided over a Methodist service on Wednesday, and Father Prince held Catholic Mass on Friday.  Barb Cepek and Gerri Brunner were a great help with the Rosary and Mass.

We had a great celebration for five birthdays this month!  We all enjoyed entertainment by Rich Schroeder at the party, and wish a big “happy birthday!” to Carol Amdahl, Harold Kannel, Richard Schaffner, Grace Solum and Mary Jo Rathke.
